The operative, identified by several aliases including Kamaludin Yunis Mohamed, was killed during a precision operation in the Hantiwadaag area of the Lower Shabelle region on Sunday. Intelligence officials described Mohamed as a mastermind behind some of the most devastating attacks in the capital over the past year, including the 2025 assault on the Godka Jilacow prison. The operation resulted in the recovery of specialized weapons and communication equipment.
